Customisation of the Icons in WiredContact
The Layouts are all capable of being adapted to reflect your workflow, this means the layout can changed as each task is completed and can force users to work in a specific way. Altering the layout is achieved using "Layout test". see http://support.wiredcontact.co.uk/KB/a278/changing-the-layout-dynamically.aspx
To Customise the icons within each layout you will need to have administrator access through the Admin link on the lower left tool bar.
We recommend you take a copy of any layout before editing it and store it locally or save a copy on the server by providing an obvious name such as contact-master-do-not-alter.html
In the example below we demonstrate how to use a set Icon for a specific task, based upon the Calls, Meetings and ToDo icons.
Original Create a Call function
In the example below you can see what we started with and then how the copy was altered in the new version below. The item in red is the location of the icon sets you want to use, you will need to supply these to us if we host you. Icons are typically gif's and around 9kb in size.
<#action function=subentity stable=wce_activity field="atype=Call" field="duration=10" target=newcall image="toptoolbar/schedule_call.gif" border=0 align="absmiddle" alt="Schedule Call" name="call" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('call','','toptoolbar/schedule_call_over.gif',1)" onMouseDown="MM_swapImage('call','','toptoolbar/schedule_call_down.gif',1)">
New Version is to create a Task with a new icon that loads a new default action with a default subject that you will have added to the drop down in the wce_activity table in the Regarding field.
<#action function=subentity stable=wce_activity field="atype=Job" field="duration=10" target=newjob image="toptoolbar/schedule_job.gif" border=0 align="absmiddle" alt="Schedule Job" name="call" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('call','','toptoolbar/schedule_job.gif',1)" onMouseDown="MM_swapImage('call','','toptoolbar/schedule_job.gif',1)">
