Configure IIS on Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8
  • Navigate to the application pool for the Wired Contact instance
  • Click “basic settings” to the far right
  • Set the “managed pipeline mode” to classic
  • Application Pool needs to be set to .net.2.0 i.e. depreciated from the standard 4.X

You should install IIS sub components from
  • Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off
  • Internet Information Services has subsection World Wide Web Services / Application Development Features
  • There you must check ASP.NET (.NET Extensibility, ISAPI Extensions, ISAPI Filters will be selected automatically).
  • Run from cmd: (notice this is for x64 system)
  • %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -ir
  • Finally check in IIS manager, that your application uses application pool with .NET framework version v2.0.

Navigate to the folder where Wired Contact is installed and locate the web.config.  At the top of this config file, just after the <configuration> tag, add the following:
<system.web>
<authentication mode="Windows" />
<identity impersonate="true" />
<authorization>
<allow users="*" />
</authorization>
<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="1048576" executionTimeout="3600" />
<sessionState mode="SQLServer" sqlCommandTimeout="666666" />
</system.web>
